The La Jacques-Cartier territory constitutes an exceptionnal area, notably by its omnipresent natural environment, either by its lakes, its rivers, its mountaines, its forested cover, its recreative or outdoor activities, its resort activities and its quality of life.
Nicknamed « les grands airs de Québec », the region is located at approximately 20 minutes north of Quebec city and counts nine municipalities. It has a population of 35 463 residents on a municipalized territory covering an area of 1 527,76 km2:
